ACADEMIC COORDINATOR

Prof. Dr. Maria Immacolata Macioti, is full professor of Cross Cultural Communication and Cultural processes in the Faculty of Sciences of Communication of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome. Within the same institution she is coordinator of the PHD course on “Theory and Social Research” and since 2001 she is director of two Masters Degrees: “Immigration and Refugees” and  “Qualitative Theory and Analysis”. She is currently also scientific coordinator of the EU project INTI on “the integration in schools of immigrant children aimed at creating an authentic European citizenship”. (click to see full CV)

ACADEMIC CO-CORDINATOR, TEACHER AND EDITOR OF THE FINAL PUBLICATION

Dr. Emanuela C. Del Re has been contract professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University “La Sapienza” for the last 6 years teaching Cross Cultural Communication and International Relations within the Masters Degree in “Immigration and Refugees”, being also responsible for the research activities related to “cultural processes” within the activities of the Masters. She is member and analyst of the think tank European Stability Initiative; member and contributor of the editing committee of the leading Italian geopolitical magazine Limes. She is the president of EPOS, International Mediating and Negotiating Operational Agency. She has carried out long field researches in the Balkans, and other areas in the world. TEACHER AND ORGANIZER OF THE WORKSHOP

Prof. Dr. Léonce Bekemans (BA Philosophy, MA International Studies and PhD International Economics) for 10 years professor at the College of Europe, he currently teaches European interdisciplinary studies at the Polonia University in Czestochowa. He has been an expert to the Council of Europe and the European Union in relation to European education and intercultural dialogue. Dr. Luciano Morganti (Degree in Philosophy at La Sapienza, Master Degrees in European Advanced Integration Studies at the College of Europe and in Interactive Communication/Multimedia Projects at St. Louis Brussels, PhD at the free university of Brussels in Communication Studies) he teaches regularly for the Development Department of the College of Europe on the EU Information and Communication policies, European Information Society. He also teaches at the free University of Brussels and in Milwaukee. He is an expert in European Project Management and  European Policies related to Communication, Culture,  and Information Society.
